Hi I'm jolene an I'm a single mom with four kids and right now four pomeranians, my 5 yr old male ( I got him at six wks) needs his rabies updated an liscenced immediatly or I go to jail. We are struggling badly about to be homeless an there is just no money, I thought I wld be moving across the river from iowa to omaha nebraska next week but I can't get the $900 deposit for new house by feb 1st, so I'm going to lose my hold on the perfect home, with huge fenced yard for the 4 kids n dogs it was pets allowed an my landlord is not renewing my lease so I'm in a panic....I figured I wld renew my dogs rabies an then get him tags in omaha but now I have to find a new home quickly an if I don't have it done in time I will get a warrant for failure to liscence, we are going thru a lot right now(see other post) an our pets are family, my daughter got a three year old pom that we soon found out was prego, she delivered on new years eve,first the little reddish boy an then the little blonde one was breech/stuck n stillborn but with my daughters love for animals an desire to be a veternarian she helped me with cpr an saved the little girl so the pups won't be ready to go for another month, we need help with heathy food for the mom n babies she is not keeping her milk up an I'm afraid the babies aren't getting enough to eat an wld like to get them formula/bottle to supplement, an their first shots an then momma fixed /shot/tags, I want my pets healthy an safe, anything will help I gotta raise these kids/dogs/ n now too surprise pups by myself since I just got divorced an have spinal disability I'm just trying to get back on my feet an I just need a little help to keep us all together! in response to connieraye... in some ways yes, i have an amazing attorney thru legal aid that is helping me because my three yr olds son is sueing e for sole custody an is seriously fighting dirty! but my attorney is on it, sos father is trying to get me kicked off my hardship for mydisability while i wait on social security hearing this summer, i get 548 a month an have for kids an he is trying really hard to make me lose my house, sec 8, food/financial/medical so that he can win by making it impossible to support my son an he doesnt care if we end up homeless, my attorney has fought DHS, CPs, Sec8, an anything else that he throws my way so in that sense yes i have help but also no because i have a 2016 sqft old historic home i am renting that was built in 1908 so as you can imagine its a draft utility spiker!lol i have chosen to pay the heat but now my lights are over 500 but in iowa we can apply for energy assistance which stops the utility companies from disconnecting us during the cold winter months nov-apr 1st for nonpayment an depending on income can give a grant to the gas company to help with the cost one month so in my case/300 but one month doesnt help much.ince im on hardship for disability waitin for ss i cant work or file taxes for earned income credit like i used to do an use my return to pay the large disconnect notices that i recieve right after april 1st for leftover amounts. shoot the only reason i have internet access is cuz my neighbor gave me his wifi password so i cld communicate with my attorney ect thru email,when my phone/internet/cable all had to be disconnected when i divorced my ex cuz he didnt pay the bills for three months prior to me kicking him out. i just got a cell phone for myself an 12yr old daughter so we cld stay in contact when she gets out of school because i cant drive much an she has to run from the bus to her brothers school everyday to walk them home, an the bill is over 500 for the first two months so there goes that idea an two yr contract. i got approved for a new house a week ago but my landlord wants me out by jan 31, my attorney is trying to extend it thru feb so i can use mycertification of domestic violence for portability with my sec 8 an move to a new state/city away from my abusive ex that i still have a permanant one yr protection order on but it expires may 31 an i need to move away first. So i do understand thats why i think you should call your local DHS office that provides food stamps ect. sometimes they have grants to help ppl on SSI/SSD to supplement their income an they will also have a list of your local resource offices such as legal aid + red cross, salvation army, luthran family services? ect. all help with utilities an rent if you have a three day notice or shut off an they usually get their funds on the first of the month so you shld try to get an appt right away before they run out of funds, make sure you seperate if using more than one agency alot tend to only help if they are sure you can pay the rest, so say use red cross for rent, salvation army for light, ect. an dont tell them about the other only ask for help with one thing from each an dont count on this page either, for help with things that you can wait on like, clothes, furniture go to the "wish upon a hero"website create account, read the rules, make/post a wish then become a fan of supporters or a friend to ppl, there is ten times as many people who will offer ideas an encouragement, plus you might find a hero or several willing to help but keep your description simple, state what you need an minimize the reasons, you got the crap end of the stick right now but what is important is that you are a human being with a disability preventing you from working with children to support an being a survivor of domestic abuse that is just trying to get on her feet again is inspiring an they dont judge you or randomly comment either, there is hundreds of heros, foundations, groups that help different ppl with different things, just keep it simple ur a survivor who needs a little help to turn things around an asking for one thing at a time makes it seem more achievable to help someone alot of ppl might be like" geez,rent, lights,ect???? what good is my $100 going to do if she needs all that now? you can make new wishes every 72hrs, an i hope you find many heros, but make sure you get the numbers for your local agencies an pursue them cuz ur needs are immediate an i wld really love to see another survivor make a better life for herself an kids, than one who gives up on themselves an goes back to a bad situation because they feel like all is lost, nothing is overlooked by our Lord an your strength an faith will be your biggest blessing in realizing your goals an potential! just hold your head high an tell yourself you can do this, yes its gonna be hard but if you dont do it who will? many blessings come to those who are humbled by their misfortunes yet still dont give up!

in response to daisydu... hey hun im so sorry for your problems an i can relate i am going thru some of the same things an i understand that it is upsetting to have people comment that comes across as judgement, my advice is to remember that the Lord said "let he who is without sin, cast the first stone" we all make mistakes an have problems an ppl shld be more considerate of that an realize that its ONLY GODs place to judge us. With that said, this site is for ppl who need help an you have every right to be upset that its turned to drama, we have enough of that in live an on here we are suppossed to have a community of ppl who care an encourage like you said. Something else i know for a fact is that 1. God helps those who helps themselves an asking strangers for encourgement or whatever takes a very strong person to let go of their pride an put their problems out there an that IS helping yourself! 2. if you give up control of the situation an accept things an ask the Father he will provide for you, he cant do that if you dont let go an put it out there so i comend your courage! an last if you can provide # examples of how your ex emotionally, physically, or otherwise harmed you all you have to do is go to your county/city courthouse an ask to file a restraining order for you an your children at that time you can request on the paper that the judge grant you temporary FULL possession of the home,family car, ect because of the kids you should get it an then the sheriff has to make him leave an turn over all the keys, an only be able to remove his personal belongings ie:clothing n work related items, not furniture or things you need for the kids until the temporary hearing at which time you will have to testify to why you want a permanant protection order{their shld be a social services branch for domestic abuse in your area that can provide you with an advocate to prepare an counsel you} you can also apply for an attorney thru legal aid to help negotiate at the hearing for what type of visitation the judge may grant your ex to the kids. its not an ideal situation but you have to do what is best for you an your children an if that means court then thats helping yourself an things shld fall into place from there, just plz realize that if you back down, let him talk you or convince you to drop the order then you will be putting yourself an kids at risk for more abuse, you have to own it an stick to your guns if you backdown the courts ect will not take you seriously so it is of utmost importance to find a support group for domestic violence or get counseling to help you identify an undo the damage to your confidence an heart an find your strengths an weaknesses an develop strategies to prove to yourself "YOU dont have to be a VICTIM" you can do this an if you need anyone to talk to or help finding agencies just inbox me an i will give you my phone number...i excel at research, thats one of my strengths, an i look up laws n programs all the time because i to just got out of an abusive relationship in may an in 90 days i filed my own divorce an was uncontested, ANYTHING is possible just keep your faith hun an if you need encourgement, im here for you! your in my prayers

I have three little boys that need jeans/pants an warm shirts. My oldest boy is 7 he wears 7-8 on top an 7 (slims in jeans) on bottom, he has ruined any handme downs on playground lol so next is my five yr old he is tall an very thin wear 5-6 shirts an elastic waist sz 5 an 5 slim w/adjusters for jeans, an then my three yr old, wears a 4 shirt an between 3-4t on pants, when in doubt I use the bigger number anything will help, thank you!

Hi my name is JoLene i am a recently divorced single mother an survivor of domestic abuse, however i am disabled; for now, im fighting back with a team of dr's working on my spine to get me back on my feet asap! im am in a very precarious situation since my divorce after 2yrs of living with an abusive husband my sons father decided to kidnapp him an take me to court for sole custody, an he fights dirty! he has tried to get all my resources taken away with lies so that he can prove me unfit, he is trying to make it imossible for me to care for my 4 children by getting our financial aid/food/medical taken away, an my housing assistance an last he has contacted my landlord to have him refuse to let me stay past jan 31st.since my lease became month to month, now i have an amazing attorney who is fighting on my behalf against everything including every wrench my ex throws into this custody battle. i had to take my 3yr old son to the E.R. last week with bruises he said his dad gave him the owies, but this man works with the police department an prides himself on how well he plays politics so it is going nowhere, in the meantime i have found a different house but the leasing agent/landlord requires the security deposit by feb 1 to hold the house till my housing authority can get me transferred an inspect an approved for them to make the payments to the landlord on my behave so i have no worries about affording the house after i scure it. if their are any angels out there that can help in anyway so we dont end up on the street in a week plz contact me via email just31mine@gmail.com i can provide proof of everything the agency that handles leasing/maintenance/management for the landlords can be reached directly by googling deltarep.com an has a pay direct online option i wld have to give the address but not on here for safety sake, like i said anything will help i just cant afford to loose this house or i will lose my son/kids an that is not an option they are my life! thanks for reading an God Bless!
Hi my name is JoLene an I live in Council Bluffs iowa, I am a recently divorced an disabled single mom to four wonderful children, we have been so blessed to at least have each other so I feel guilty asking for help. I just got done telling my kids that there would mostly likely be no presents for Christmas this year becuase I have no money left after bills an the school told me on Monday to get a wish list together an then notified me yesterday that the family we were to be adopted by fell through. Of course my 5yr old boy said so I’m not going to get anything on my list but what about Santa? I said the reindeer were sick this year so Santa could only come if I sent him money for a plane ticket. My 6yr old boy said I wish christmas didn’t cost money. An I said me too but we can still celebrate Jesus’s birthday, while I watched my 12 yr old daughter cry in the other room, it broke my heart. My 3yr old son is visiting at his fathers an he will have Christmas presents there that he can’t bring home. I really don’t know what to do, after the talk with the others I came in my room an cried an then looked up credit cards but I don’t have the income to get one so I googled help for christmas an this is what I found so if there is anyone in southwest iowa or omaha nebraska area that can help me at least preserve the christmas magic of Santa, all my boys love john cena, tech decks, dale jr, transformers, dirtbikes, monster trucks, motorcycles, super heros an sports, they just need jeans an long sleeve shirts an pajamas so gift cards to walmart or for the family dollar( we love their cheap 2&3 pc sets) or one we can use at any store wld be great if u live far away, my daughter has lots of clothes but really wants this pair of boots she seen.
